Night Shift News

Good Evening listeners. If DAB radio is so good, why do I keep losing signal when i get close to an LSM (letter sorting machine )? Gremlins? Maybe, or maybe not. Very soon we will all be switching over to digital everything instead of analogue everything, but from my experience, digital everything isn't ready yet. Well I say everything. I think maybe the TV side is kind of sorted. But sitting on a bus, listening to Five Live, I lose the signal so much, it becomes annoying. Even when I get off the bus, and start my 10 minute walk to work, I still lose signal. Or maybe the DAB radio just doesn't like Romford. That would make much more sense. Maybe it's because of the clubber's in town with all their mobiles going off at the same time that I lose signal. Who cares? I have an Ipod. I'll listen to that instead. Then, when some bright spark develops a DAB for an Ipod, we'll see if there's any change. Technology? You either love it, or you love it more.
Ok, Sports fans. It's New's round up time.
In Golf, we had a tie between Lion Woods and his wife in the "You shag anyone else and you're dead" play off. Lion eventually won with a wood.
" Are you going to use that?" asked a young lady in the crowd. " Eventually. What are you doing later?" replied Lion.
In darts, we saw the World Champion lose his crown to a five year old in the semi final. " Stands to reason," said the Ex World Champ. " He's bigger than me."
And in Rugby, the London Isle of Man team have been disbanded, due to lack of players, and interest. The team Manager, Doug Douglas said, " Ah well. You win some, you lose some. But we lost more than anyone. And now we've lost our team. You can't lose more than that."
And finally, the Romford APC Bob Sleigh team sensationally pulled out of the Winter Olympic games due to lack of drug testing. " We have the right to be tested," said spokesman Steve Newhouse. " They go around the World testing everyone for all manner of substances, but they never test us. I think it's disgusting the way we are being treated." An Appeal panel will take up the case in due course.
And that's it for another Night Shift News. If you don't like it, tell no one, if you do, tell everyone. Good Night.
